Is Talent All We Need?

There are so many of us with 'raw talent'; and sometimes, we don't use it or don't respect or develop it.

Yet, if some of us are placed in the right environment, things can and will change.

Examine the raw talent in sports in this little country. The next time you get the opportunity to walk through the International Airport in Nassau, N.P. The Bahamas look closely at 'The Wall Of Fame'. On that wall, Eleuthera has two from humble beginnings who are prominent on that wall; Dudley Smith and Chris Brown. The people on this wall were those who had the talent and was willing to work.

These people trained hard and made it to world status. Look at Chris Brown, he trained hard and made it to world status winning four [4] world championship medals in the relay. He was relentless, dedicated, and enthusiastic in his training. He did not rest on his laurels. His talent was developed because of his willingness to be the best.

The rest of us can visualize what we want but unless we engage our emotions it will not materialize. We have to see and feel the actual thing materializing. Our energy and movement work together. Our imagination must come into play; like children playing. Watch how real it is for them, they can be using the pots and pans in the kitchen or wearing their parents' glasses or dressing up in their parents' clothes.

This reminds us that we have been visualizing since we were very young; if we continually train our minds and or bodies we will see the transformation we first saw in our minds.

Mark Twain said, "Talent is useless without training, thank God." Are you wasting your talent? It's time to train our minds and bodies to become what we were born to become.
