My Birthday GIft 2020

Birthdays are about memories.

In this unusual 2020 year, I asked for a tabletop painting for a table on the deck.

You can live in this beautiful country and not request something that's indigenous, hence my coconut palm tree, my sandy beach, my beautiful sky, and waters that reflect each other.

Who knows someone may see this tabletop and may want one like it or similar to it.

Then, I will be able to negotiate a good price. This tabletop is 4 feet by 4 feet.

What Is Most Important In Life? Proverbs 3: 13-16

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding and knowledge, for they are more profitable than silver and yield better returns than gold. They are more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with them. Long life, riches, and honour are produced by wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.

If you are unstoppable anything and everything is available to you.

You simply choose it and it's yours.

If you are not willing to receive, then you are 'ripping off' those who want to give to you. when you are not willing to receive you are training the 'universe' NOT to give to you.

Daily declare, " I am bigger than any problem. I can handle any problem."

My favourite Bible book is Proverbs. This book was written by Solomon, he was a wise king.

1 Kings 4:29-31 says 'Solomon was brilliant. God blessed him with insight and understanding. He was wiser than anyone else in the world.'

Below are some Proverbs that keep me on my toes.

1. The plans [goals and budget] of the diligent lead to profit as haste leads to poverty [21.5].

2. Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth [10:4].

3. Diligent hands will rule [manage in a higher-paid position and leads others] but laziness ends in menial and low-level labour [12:24]

4. Do not love sleep or you will grow poor [20:13].

5. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm [13:20]

6. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin [18:24]

7. These instructions are the way of life...keeping you from the smooth tongue of the sensual person...for the promiscuous person reduces you to a loaf of bread [6:23-26]

My grandmother used to say to us, 'don't trust'.

You know the term, especially if you're from the islands.

She said that God hates debt which 'pile-up' and increased to buy possessions, pleasure, popularity, or impressing others. If you do this you put-off getting the most important needs, retirement, and support for your family. Oh for the wisdom of some of those elderly people who knew what value really was.

How are you increasing your value?

How Serious are you? Answer these carefully to yourself.

Are you being healthy?

Do you exercise daily?

Do you eat right/clean?

Do you like your life?

Are you in Debt?

Are you experiencing Scarcity?

Do you want to be healthy?

Do YOU WANT PROSPERITY?

Could YOU HANDLE WEALTH?

Do you truly know your life's purpose?

Can you win the friends you want?

Can you truly INFLUENCE people?

Do you have powerful social skills?

What motivates you?

Do you procrastinate?

What do you earn in relation to what you spend?

What kind of company do you keep?

Your life is reflected by the company you keep...

Here is a quote from King T' Challa [Chadwick Boseman]

" We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one SINGLE tribe." We are the 'human race'.

It's time to lift one another up, notice I did not say 'give a hand out'.

Did You Set A Goal For Your Life?

 

Your goals should be written daily, weekly, or monthly.

Remember that your subconscious mind does not know the time, so write those goals as if they have already been accomplished.

Don't think small. Thinking small leads to disaster.

Don't waste energy as energy is money and it takes courage to make money.

When you dream with your eyes open to see what you want and can speak what we see and seek it.

Examine what God has brought you to. Do so carefully, relive the journey.

What is the lesson you should have learned? Or did you learn it?

You can do more than you think you can.

Live up to your potential.

If you do not live up to doing your personal best, IT IS UNETHICAL.

Look over what God has brought you to.

You could be pleasantly surprised.

It's Important to Offer Help Even if You are 'Shut Down'

Many times you are reminded that you are your 'brother's keeper', even if you have no biological brother.

Sometimes, you want things for people more than they want for themselves.

These can include but are not limited to- a good basic education; an opportunity to set them up for life; a chance to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of their family and so on.

Well, there are times when you have to bite your tongue and remain silent, there are times when you have to let people feel for themselves or buck their own big toe and feel the pain. 

I learn daily that some people will not learn until their mouths are bitter or they and in a hornet's nest.

You have to be happy for those who do listen the first time, and when the others come all battered and bruised, you have to ask yourself, "what would Jesus do?" And do just that. Hopefully, it would not be like when he had to whip the moneychangers out of the temple.

With that said, good night.

What do you tell yourself when there is no one around?

1- I don't have the time. Ans: Create time.

2- I don't have the money. Ans: Get the money.

3- I need to lose weight. Ans: I weight 135 pounds.

4- I can't do that right now. Ans: Now, is the time you have.

5- What day is it? Ans: You are not busy.

6- What's in the news? Ans: You, create the news.

7- I don't feel like........ Ans: Just show up.

8- Why does he/she want.. Ans: Help somebody.

9- I got to do this or that. Ans: Put yourself first

10- I don't want people messing with me. Ans: Get attention.

11- I work too hard anyhow. Ans: Don't make excuses.

12. I used to think that. Ans: Keep feeding your dream

Maybe it's me looking at the things I used to say years ago and realizing that there are 24 hours in the day and if I use my time wisely all other things fall into place.

I set a target and work towards it. If you say 'I am going to New York for two weeks'. I plan the entire trip, tickets, hotels, tours, meals, shopping the whole thing. What's the price am I willing to pay the price? If the answer if not yes, you are not going anywhere.

A wise man said you either manage your life, or someone would manage it for you.

Think about the above... Just think.
