Practice Being a Good Receiver so It's Clear What You Want

You are complimented.

Instead of saying thank you with a smile, you grumble under your breath.

You wanted that compliment, that's why you dressed so well, got that new hairdo.

You don't get what you want because you don't know what you want.

Clarity is power.

Rich people don't send mixed messages to the universe;

Poor people do.

Rich people are excellent receivers.

You compliment them, they hug you and say thank you with a smile.

They believe they are worthy of receiving no matter how small it is.

Poor people are not excellent receivers.

Poor people don't believe they are worthy of receiving.

You offer them something, they shake their heads and say 'I'm okay'.

You checked your closet lately? How many pairs of shoes do you have?

You checked your bathroom cabinets? Check the expiry dates on some of that product.

You, do a quick check of the sums of money you have sitting there.

Ten pairs of shoes costing as little as $40 if $400.

Now, check your bank balances.

Do you have 6 months salary in savings? I am only posing the question.

Do you have three months in discretionary funds?

We have been in lockdown for 5 months.

What if we are locked down another two to three months? Can you survive?

You would have to help family members who are out of work if your reserves are depleted how would you? [How would I?]

These are only some thoughts 'running' through my mind.

Have a blessed day.

"Security is mostly a superstition. Life is either a daring adventure or NOTHING." Helen Keller

You may or may not know who Helen Keller was.

You can look it up, but for my short presentation, I will tell you. She was the first deaf, blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was an author, political activist, and lecturer. She did not begin to speak until she was nine, this, by lip-reading.

In junior school, we were made to read her autobiography, 'The Story Of My Life', so that we could understand the importance of helping others because in doing this you help yourself.

At first most of us were reluctant.

Fast forward to NOW how many of us, in this COVID 19 era, is going out of our way to help someone else?

You may say, 'we have to social distance'. That's true. Yet the vast number of us have a phone or and a laptop or a tablet that we use daily. How can we use these to help others?

  • You can call a friend to find out if the elderly in the household is well.
  • You can ask if there is anything you can do for them if they are housebound.
  • You could share information that they could take advantage of to improve their life.
  • You could remind them to adhere to the protocols to keep them and their family safe.
  • You could use zoom, face time, or any other platform to read to the elderly and to younger children.

You can be using these same instruments to make money online also.

Let me take this time to invite you, no matter where you are on this Globe to commit to bettering yourself financially and attend a two-day workshop that will make your life and your family life better. The stimulus checks would last forever.....

Your money is yours. Become financially independent NOW...ask me how.

"We generate fears while we sit. We overcome them by action" Dr. Henry Link

Reading this quote prompted me to assess the situation we are in now.

You are basically and figuratively sitting. You are home with nowhere to go except possibly the rooms in your house or the rooms outside your house, in the immediate area. Maybe you have a patio or a deck or a garage or workshop, but everything is 'right there'.

You can really become fearful.

You sit and allow your mind to wander in the wrong places. Yet you have the power to change that.

You may or may not know that SUCCESS is formed in the mind before it is manifested in reality.

So what are some of the things you can do?  You can look inside of you and recall some of those things you have been promising yourself to do, "if I had the time." Well, you have the time now.

You can write that book that you promised yourself you'd write, you can cleat out your closet to send the excess to the Red Cross or The Salvation Army or Good Will, you can start that vegetable garden you said for the umpteenth time that you were going to start, you can file those recipes you wrote for that recipe book you were to write, you can go back to sewing, crocheting, knitting, there are many promises you made to yourself that you now have more than enough time to fulfill.

Any of those actions mentioned will over the fear of what if.......

Maybe you don't wish to do any of those things aforementioned.

What about learning how to make money online via the Internet. And people, I don't mean putting things on Facebook and hoping your friends may glance at it. I mean really making money on the Internet. Learning how to connect with people worldwide, now that's a way to use Facebook. You can strike up a conversation with someone in Australia, you may or may not get the chance to visit there, yet you can see the place through the eyes of that person and he/she can see your country through your eyes. You can build a rapport and 'voila' you have a possible lead for your business for a prospect for your group.

Today we can conquer that fear from your computer, tablet, or phone. As you sit in your garden, on your patio or deck you can be active and alleviate that fear.

School year 2020 -2021 projected to begin September 21st in the Bahamas

Your 2019-2020 school year anywhere in the world has been the most unusual ever.

In just a few weeks, you parents must make a decision that would impact the lives of your children forever.
What decision would you make?💁💁

Your child may be in preschool, lower or upper primary, junior, or senior high school, what do you do?
  • You send your child back to the social setting
  • You allow him/her to work from home via the Internet
  • You have a blend of both
You need to think beyond the regular school supplies. Now, you have to add masks, more hand sanitizer.

You have a choice, disposal masks, or cloth mask at least ten per school week if they are in the social setting.

You have to be, not only the primary caregiver as a parent, you must act as a substitute teacher no matter the level. You will have to learn as your child learns so that you can guide him/her through classes.

You would have to invest in a laptop, or a tablet or a desktop.

You have to get used to a 'new normal'. How do you plan to do that? You can share it below with a comment.

Here in the Bahamas September seems far away but it's only five weeks away. You need to get ready.

You must help each other. You must contact the teachers to find out what is planned. You must contact the Education offices, the principals.

Your child's future begins and ends with you.

Sometimes It Is Good To Be Quiet

Have you ever watched birds? If you have a birdbath [we put one in the backyard a few days ago] and watch the birds in silence, more will come and a variety of species.  If you talk loud or make any sudden movements they leave, they fly off.

Do you think that's why we are told at times by older folk to "zip our lips" or that "silence is golden"?

When we broadcast the things we plan, sometimes negative energy from others affects the outcome. If we do talk about these things, it should be with someone we truly trust. Sometimes we're more powerful by ourselves.

Our minds control the rest of us. It is important to believe in 'you', compete with you.

You are your own best friend!

  Become the best you.

Is Talent All We Need?

There are so many of us with 'raw talent'; and sometimes, we don't use it or don't respect or develop it.

Yet, if some of us are placed in the right environment, things can and will change.

Examine the raw talent in sports in this little country. The next time you get the opportunity to walk through the International Airport in Nassau, N.P. The Bahamas look closely at 'The Wall Of Fame'. On that wall, Eleuthera has two from humble beginnings who are prominent on that wall; Dudley Smith and Chris Brown. The people on this wall were those who had the talent and was willing to work.

These people trained hard and made it to world status. Look at Chris Brown, he trained hard and made it to world status winning four [4] world championship medals in the relay. He was relentless, dedicated, and enthusiastic in his training. He did not rest on his laurels. His talent was developed because of his willingness to be the best.

The rest of us can visualize what we want but unless we engage our emotions it will not materialize. We have to see and feel the actual thing materializing. Our energy and movement work together. Our imagination must come into play; like children playing. Watch how real it is for them, they can be using the pots and pans in the kitchen or wearing their parents' glasses or dressing up in their parents' clothes.

This reminds us that we have been visualizing since we were very young; if we continually train our minds and or bodies we will see the transformation we first saw in our minds.

Mark Twain said, "Talent is useless without training, thank God." Are you wasting your talent? It's time to train our minds and bodies to become what we were born to become.

We Create Our Reality...

Our mind is our biggest asset. We must expect to win! We can no longer make excuses. You must make progress.
If we make up our mind to do something, the target, we have to create a mental picture of that target then move towards it.
The biggest mistake we make, and I have done this, to sit and think about it and then wonder why nothing different is happening.
To be successful, we CANNOT allow FEAR, FRUSTRATION, and IMPATIENCE to have a place in our lives. They are not part of the process. We must get over them. We GOT TO challenge our minds to be free of negative clutter that keeps our lives in neutral. In neutral we at a standstill.
It's time to FOCUS more and not less. We must Commit to reaching that target and get TOUGH on ourselves.
A baby can teach us much if we observe him. When he makes up his mind to walk he may fall thousands of times but he gets up thousands of times until HE CAN walk. His parents are not cruel they watch and do not interfere. The baby teaches us to treat ourselves better.
We think when we fail that we can't do anything, NOT TRUE.
The more we fail, the closer we are to succeeding. We cannot be discouraged if we make a mistake. If we allow fear to make up give up, we can kick ourselves when we realize how close we were to our success without being aware.
As a man thinkest in his heart..... If we meditate before bedtime about what we want to accomplish we can wake up with the vision still playing in our heads and we can accomplish it.
